Culture of Orchids

Blooming

Each type of Orchid requires a minimum light level for flowering.

For the best flowering you should give the Orchid the maximum amount of light possible without burning the plant.

We do not recommend ‘Bloom Boost’ fertilizers that are high in Phosphorus. A healthy well cared for plant will bloom regularly.

Orchids have genetically timed blooming periods. Where possible we will list with every Orchid, those times you can expect flowering.

We also can only give estimates for 'how long before they bloom' based on a nine month growing season in Florida.  Times will vary across the country.
