Den. speciosum is a native of Australia. It produces some of the most magnificent specimen plants imaginable. These plants are keiki from the plant in the photo. They bloom after a slight chill (50-60 degrees) in January or February. They have a slight yellow cast to the flowers when they first open and fades to white. The plant in the photo is 15 years old, 5 1/2 feet wide including flowers and had 5000 flowers this year (2015). It was the grand champion at the Fairchild Botanical Gardens international show.
