Grammatophyllum are some of the largest growing orchids. Scriptum is a medium size orchid of this group. The leaves are 2-3 feet and the flower spikes easily reach 3 feet. Each flower is the size of a half dollar and 60-120 flowers will cover each spike. They like medium high light and lots of water. They flower in four inch pots if kept very pot bound. They grow extremely fast if re-potted into larger and larger pots. However the rapid growth has slowed down flowering. They may even skip a year.
