Castacetum go dormant every year and look dead. They are not dead and will begin to grow again in a couple of months. If the newest bulb is hard, the plant is healthy. After they grow a new bulb, they will leaf out flower and then lose all the leaves. This variety is known as 'Jack of Diamonds' These are divisions and should look like the photo.
