The Catasetum group are perennial orchids, which die back into dormancy each year. Expansum is species predominately green. The flowers are large and the bright yellow is dominant. We have seen several color varieties on these and other Catasetum species. It is easy to grow. They are coming out of dormancy in March April and flowers open around September October.
