Vanilla aphylla is very unique in that it is a leafless Vanilla. We recommend planting these by laying them on a bed of very loose potting mix or a bed of sphagnum so that the roots can grow into the medium. As the plant grows bend to growing end into the pot to keep rooting into the medium.
