Mcp. Tibiana - divisions
This hybrid of tibicinis and thomsoniana has even spaced flowers along the end of its inflorescence, which is shorted than the species only 3-5 feet in length. It does grow well in pots as well as baskets and mounted. An interesting aside is that in the early years the "Schmburgkia now Myrmechophia" species were often miss identified. Mcp. albopurpurea, from the Cayman Islands, was originally identified as thomsoniana. Based on the color and shape of the Tibiana, it is highly possible that the original cross was with albopurpurea. Divisions are shipped bare root.
