Grammatophyllum are some of the largest growing orchids. Scriptum is a medium size orchid of this group. The leaves are 2-3 feet, and the flower spikes easily reach 3 feet. Each flower is the size of a half dollar, and 60-120 flowers will cover each spike. They like medium high light and lots of water. They flower in four-inch pots if kept very pot bound. They grow extremely fast if re-potted into larger and larger pots. However, the rapid growth will slow down flowering. They may even skip a year.
