B.nodosa is often called Lady of the Night, because it is fragrant after dark (not at night if lights are on). It is fertilized by a night moth, which will not come out if there is too much light. Orchids are smart and will not release their perfume if the fertilizing insect is not around. These are 4-5 bulb plants that are about 14 inches high. They are flowering size.
